Overlooked Dynamics GP Features - Part Three- Custom Link to Open a Microsoft Teams Chat Window

In the previous blog posts we have seen how to use the Dynamics GP Custom Links feature to track a package using the waybill numbers of a Sales Order, and how to add a picture to an inventory item. In this blog post we will look at how to create a Custom Link to open a Microsoft Teams chat window with a contact that has been added to a Customer. Create your Custom Link

On the Internet Information Window for the customer

Add https://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat/0/0?users=username@company.ca

Replace username@company.ca with the contact email address

Anywhere that there is a Customer Link now there is a second link that will open a Teams Chat window.
