Dates with Natural Language in Microsoft Dynamics 365

What do Propheteers do when they are not helping customers make best use of their hardware and software? We learn about the amazing things that we can do with our hardware and software!

There are some very clever things going on in the Dynamics 365 space.

Would you like to be able to use natural language in date fields in D365? Try keying “today” in a date field. You get a red X as that is invalid.

It would be awesome to be able to key phrases like “next Saturday”, “two weeks from today”.

Making use of the Office UI Fabric you can change that.

Umm, hey, err, what is an Office UI Fabric?

This tool has been around for four years now. A mobile first, front end framework for developers, designed to make it simple to quickly create web experiences using the Office design language.

One of the features is a Date Picker.

A blogger in Calgary has pulled these together and shared his work on Github.
